This platform is built on the Base44 platform and uses its hosting, authentication, and data storage, and uses PayPal to process subscription payments.

When you create an account or start a free trial, we collect the email address you sign up with and a display name. Your account also stores information you voluntarily enter while using the tools, such as recipes, fragrance recipes, raw material and product inventory, burn-test records, customer records, invoices, sales records, and forum posts you create. This information is tied to your account and is used to provide the features you requested.

You are not required to enter personal information about third parties to use the core tools. However, features such as the customer directory, invoices, and sales records let you enter names, email addresses, phone numbers, and shipping addresses for your own customers. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to store that information and for how you use it.

Membership subscriptions are billed through PayPal. When you subscribe, PayPal handles the transaction and stores your payment method. Candlemakers-Toolbox does not directly receive or store your complete credit or debit card details. We receive and store subscription-related information such as your subscription plan, subscription status, start and end dates, and a PayPal subscription identifier so we can manage your access.

We share information with service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the service. These providers include Base44 for hosting, authentication, database, and file storage; PayPal for subscription billing and payment processing; and Google Analytics for website traffic and usage measurement. Ordinary processing by these service providers as part of running the site is not a sale of personal information. We do not claim that no information is ever transmitted to third parties, because Base44, PayPal, and Google Analytics provide operational services that require limited access to information as part of operating the site.

Candlemakers-Toolbox does not currently display third-party advertising, use affiliate or sponsored links, or use sponsor tracking. We do not sell names, email addresses, customer records, recipes, inventory records, invoices, or other private account content. Private account content is not used for targeted advertising.

We use cookies and similar session storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate the site. Your browser may store a small amount of information locally, such as a pending trial activation flag or display preferences. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand how the site is used. Depending on configuration, Google Analytics may collect information such as the pages you view, session activity, approximate location (such as city or region), and browser and device information. We may also store internal analytics events about feature usage, and page-visit information may be recorded for signed-in users to help improve the product. Complete payment-card details are not sent to Google Analytics.

If you contact us by email or through the in-app Messages feature, we keep the content of your message and your contact information so we can respond and keep a record of the conversation. Support messages are visible to you and to our administrators for the purpose of providing support.

You may request closure of your account or deletion of your account data by contacting customerservice@candlemakers-toolbox.com. We will process verified requests within a reasonable period, subject to information we must or reasonably need to retain for legal compliance, payment and accounting records, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, backups, and enforcement of our agreements. Some residual copies may remain temporarily in backups, system logs, or records maintained by service providers.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and the platform relies on third-party providers (including hosting, authentication, database, file storage, and payment providers) that each have their own security practices. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data stored online.

You can review and update certain account information from your account page. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you can request deletion of your account or data by contacting us; see "Data Retention and Deletion" for how long information may be kept. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a membership. Candlemakers-Toolbox is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
